Feasibility studies

Low-energy installations are advantageous from the viewpoint of rising energy prices and greenhouse effects, but need to be profitable as well. ETS evaluates financial and technical feasibility of investments on the basis of two economical principles: “SPOT” (Simple Pay Out Time) and “Internal Rate of Return”. In the evaluation we take into account factors such as technical and financial rate of depreciation, maintenance costs and costs of personnel.

Purchase advice and management

Given the expected life span of steam installations (>25 years) the purchase of a new steam installation is a rare occasion. ETS has the required expertise to support you in this process. Together with you we lay down the requirements, taking into account technical management, price versus quality, reserve capacity, and any specific demands. Based on these requirements we invite tenders from a select number of suppliers of whom we expect (based on our expertise) a fitting and favourable proposal. We visit the location with these suppliers to ensure that their tenders adequately address your needs. The tenders are compared with regard to the fulfilment of specifications, proposed technology, and the relation between price and quality. ETS comes with a report on this comparison and a sound advice on which offer to accepet. ETS takes care of all communications and thereby takes a lot of work off your hands.

Training and information

The individual components of a steam installation may be relatively simple in technical terms, but the interrelations are often complex. ETS provides information and courses regarding steam installations as well as on the job training. Our services further include the set up of custom tailored logbooks and experience logs (both required by law in the Netherlands).

In 2008-2010 we developped an modulair training manualin the english language. You can decide wich parts of thsi manual are applicable for your company. Trainings are given in-company, your personel is trained on your installation and only subjects applicable for your steam system are given in this traningsprogram.
